Compared to that pathetic little pinch of PS2 games officially playable on the PS4 that's about 10x more (and probably counting). WTF are they doing over there at Sony.
Way to prove hackers right...
"Spencer also revealed that there were spatial considerations, meaning getting the actual component to fit in the console but also how many people use the optical audio port"
Bullcr@p. How much space does an optical audio socket take in a video game console, esp. as bulky as the Xbox Series X? It's a tiny socket that takes no place and costs very little, quit bullshitting around Microsoft.
Sony did that for their mid-gen SKU the PS4 Slim, wh...
I wanted a Motorstorm compilation with all 5 games and a Resistance collection with all 4 games on the PS4...and a Killzone collection with all 4 games (if only to make up for that lacklustre Killzone Shadow Fall) ... looks like I'll have to stick with my PS3 to scratch that itch.
"You’re making the assumption that developers will tap into the extra power, especially if it reveals little noticeable differences."
True.
What plenty of people usually fail to keep in mind is that, by all accounts now, Microsoft are going to come up with the Xbox series S (or w/e it's eventually called) a little while later after the launch of the Xbox series X, a system drastically cheaper than the PS5 (about 100$ less I would say), but a...
Even if devs don't eventually learn that TFLOPS only PARTLY indicate any given GPU's power and how to use the PS5's extra assets, I don't see how a meager power difference such as about 2 TFLOPS could result in games running on an Xbox series X at 4K/60fps while they would run only at 1440/60fps on the PS5.
You sir are delusional and are a fanboy.
Hum, no, not anymore, since he had inadvertently killed his wife and children in a fit of blind rage caused by Ares in God of War 1. Remember?
May I ask how you know that?
I saw the writing on the wall with that one. I think the release of the new-gen consoles will be pushed back to 2021 also.
Cool! It's such a huge bummer that they divided it into 3 parts though. They could've made it into just one game, no way it would've been bigger than say, The Witcher III GOTY Edition for example. But hey, it's Square-Enix, why sell us just one game when they could sell us three or four, eh? It's gonna be a while until this project is finished, and this is the only reason why I might hold off on buying it right now...
I love the painting-like fuzzy look of Dreams' graphics, don't get me wrong, but is it possible to make something that has clean, well-defined, smooth graphics? One of the first things I'm gonna try to make when I get my hands on that game is going to be a 8-bit or 16-bit game, I hope it's still possible like it was in LBP2.
It works in Europe man, I just signed in.
Ah, the Neo Geo... My NG AES cost me only the equivalent of about 150$ back then in 1993, with one joystick (and I believe one memory card), which wasn't too much , but building a sizeable collection of games proved to be a pretty hairy thing. Which is why to this day I only own something like , not even 30 games I think. But finally getting to play the perfect arcade version of Fatal Fury Special at home, after burning the palms of my hands on the SNES port (which was totally decent, jus...
It actually was "you're breathtaking!"...
But, yeah.
Here's hoping they'll make good on their promise to deliver dlc content in the future, and not just new tools but also stories, for it is severely lacking in that department as of right now. The game is only 40$/€, but at some point with all the dlc we'll have bought to make the story mode more fleshed out, I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up costing a lot more than that.
That's my feeling too. I'm still hellbent on getting Dreams, but when you spend the whole generation developping a game, your fans have the right to expect you to deliver, not only the tools, but a fully-fledged story mode (or better yet, several story modes) that will make friends want to play together and explore all the hidden stuff you've implemented in it, a bit like the story mode of LBP... which came out over 10 years ago.
It's only 40$/€? That's awesome, but that also explains why there is very little in terms of a story mode, which is a bummer...
Heeeeeeeere they coooooooooome! Pull over guys, let 'em through, the convoy of 10s for Media Molecule's latest is coming in full force. Damn, over 10 years later it's gonna be LittleBigPlanet all over again, and I can't afford the game right now 'cause I spent it in omiyage...
229 million $... wow, i had no idea that kind of money was negotiated in talks to acquire a game-development studio.
At that price I hope Sony get a PS port of Sunset Overdrive, lol
No Fatal Fury Special, or Real Bout Fatal Fury , no King of Fighters 94 or 96, not even that Naomi arcade game Fist of the North Star? And Tekken 3, on consoles, was beat in every way by Tekken 5, if only for the fact that the PS2 disc came with arcade-perfect ports of the first 3 Tekken games. And Soul Calibur II didn't hold a candle to its successor Soul Calibur III. And Killer Instinct w/e doesn't belong on a list of the 30 best fightig games ever, much less so high in the ranking,...
Fingers crossed for japanese dubbing even in the western copies of the game
